Hello World! Who says life has to be all business and no fun? I work from my laptop and you know what? You can too! I started this blog to help answer some of the real questions you might have on your mind when it comes to starting a legitimate home based business. Can I do it? It really comes down to what you know and how you apply it. In this blog you will find some facts, statistics, be able to form realistic expectations, get tips, opinions and of course I’ll expose you to the CarbonCopyPRO solution that I choose to promote. Check it out, we’ll even have some fun along the way..

Who am I?

I am born and bred New Yorker with the typical Italian family; you know the kind, lots of love and lots of yelling. I wouldn’t have traded my childhood for the world, and I’m proud to say I have a lot of the same friends today, and I intend to keep them. Relationships make the world go around, cherish yours, and work on them before it is too late…

I turned NY inside out for 23 years, then pointed wagons west, (more like an 84 Datsun) and headed to Colorado swapping out my surfboard for a snowboard. Colorado was another experience I wouldn’t change for the world but three years later, it was time to get back to the ocean, I had to face the facts, Boulder wasn’t going to chop off 30th St. and put a beach there, so off to San Diego….

Fast forward three more years, I’m having a grand ol time, after all working in restaurants is a good time plus you get instant gratification in the form of cash, smiles, and a flexible schedule. The work suited me and allowed me to take road trips everywhere in the US, do 2 week stints down to mainland Mexico a bunch, month long extreme sport vacations in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. By the way as you could imagine a lot can happen in those places, some good, some reALLy unexpected, I couldn’t eat bacon for weeks…

All good things must come to an end though right?…

One day I was on the phone with my Father back on the East Coast and he said to me; “So your going to be thirty soon, what happened to you always telling me that you’d be retired by that age?”

I quickly responded; ” I am retired! I work 25 hours a week, if I like something, I buy it, and I vacation for no less than 2 months a year, what are you taking about?”

To that he answered; “Jerry you are retired in place”.

The old man was right, I was doing nothing different today, so inevitably tomorrow would be the same as today, which quite frankly wasn’t that bad in my twenties but I was turning THIRTY! From what I understand, life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end the quicker it goes. It was time to get serious, my future was now it finally caught up to me.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since age 8 but at the time everyone around me was making a killing on Real Estate so I jumped on board, I don’t know if you are aware; but San Diego had a huge RE bubble and I got in on the tail end, I made a lot of money and I lost it just as quick. I ended my career in August 07 with 8.5 million dollars in my pipeline, the loans were all submitted with signed docs and still NEVER going to close. The programs they were submitted under were disappearing by the hour and I was tired of being busy just to be busy.

Now a wise man once said, “when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging”. I came to the realization that the best way to benefit my Clients was to find one good solid Bank to work at. I wasn’t passionate about crunching numbers and I can’t remember saying when I was a kid, “when I grow up I want to work 9-5 in a bank” so I ran screaming. Working for myself was cool, but banks blow! My snowboarding motto sums up my mortgage career, “last one on the bus first one off.”

By now I was completely physiologically unemployable, I tasted freedom and there was no going back to a J O B.

The thought of not being in control of my own life and punching a clock turned my stomach. I eventually found a way to work on my own terms by providing direct mail campaigns for Reverse Mortgage Originators, or more accurately put, taunting old people with junk mail. Yeah I know, not the most glamorous work but I had 100% mobility and residual income which I really liked but I wanted more. Like a 5-6 hour workweek and 40K per month more…

Again my search is on for what I’m going to do with the rest of my life…

Early summer 2007, I come across the ad that flips the tracks on my life but I don’t know it at the time..

August 2007 I almost boomerang back into restaurants when my girlfriend brings me to a Hell’s Kitchen audition because everyone always says I should be on one of those reality cooking shows, so I figure what the f@%ge let’s go! Put me on TV see what happens. They pull me in a room with these two other cocky dudes who I pointed out were probably full of crap so off to LA I went.

Well it’s now October, my direct mail business is coming into the slow season and I’ve already jumped through all of the Hell’s Kitchen hoops but no call back. I look over at my once thriving wine collection which has been pretty well picked over and I can’t come up with a good enough reason to open that Cristal. Another wise man once said, “When you have money ya buy wine and when you don’t ya drink it”. So taking inventory on my rack made me realize I was headed in the wrong direction.

Back to the ad that changed everything.

I reaLLy don’t remember how this guy popped up in front of me? My first reaction was, this guy talks funny, if he’s going to show off a car why not a Bentley, shit, I’ve got a couple of Bimmers already, why would I follow this guy he’s only got one? Nonetheless, I was attracted to the business and I spent the next 3 months reading his emails and trying to dig up some dirt on the guy and his affiliated product company.

Long story, not so short, after what I considered heavy due diligence, I committed myself to the business Oct 26 2007. It wasn’t cheap to get started with him and I certainly wasn’t in a position to lose money. I’ve got big bills for crying out loud! I opened for business 11/02 making my first $1000 on 11/08 and I didn’t even see it coming. I understood that in order to achieve the goals I had set for myself I needed to be properly positioned in my business and attend the very next conference. Armed with faith I fire up my American Express card again and plunk down an even more uncomfortable amount of debt. I was off to Florida to pinch people and see what I really got myself into. When I returned I was certain that I was in the right place at the right time.

It’s Christmas day 2007 I’m with my family in TN, and I’m on the phone with my wonderfully supportive girlfriend Michelle, we are both flying to New York for a week to enjoy the New Years Celebration in NYC and we were laughing because we were dead broke year ending 2007. I know what your thinking, “if you’re dead broke how do you afford to travel for two weeks”! My answer to that is simple, you can’t stop the rain… I charge it knowing greener pasture were ahead of us.

Maybe you know this, and maybe you don’t but FEAR and FAITH cannot occupy the same space.

December 26, 2007, Christmas came a day late 7K in one day! I didn’t even get one phone call from a buyer, as a matter of fact I was off hiking with Tar and E.T. (Mom’s dogs), and my iPhone didn’t even have service!!!

As you could imagine, I never did have to get a real J-O-B.

The Team I joined not only provided me with a turnkey opportunity to earn right away, but with cutting edge training to ensure that I always stay 6 months ahead of the curve when it comes to internet marketing.

Get on the first page of Google in 24 hours? NO PROBLEM!

Generating 1000-2000 leads per month just rolling out of bed? EASY!

Working from my Blackberry, anywhere? REALITY!

Teaching you to do the same and fire your boss, 3 MONTHS!

Yeah I know, not the typical Network Marketer Success Story, it’s not rags to riches although it did come close, I didn’t have years of frustration cold calling leads, driving away family and friends, to have just found the secret. I’ll tell you what I did find out though; there is no secret. It’s HARD WORK and in the beginning you are going to have to work your butt off or come in with a heavily funded plan. PERIOD. You want 20K per month than act like it, take action every day and follow the program!

Let me also say I’m no computer geek, as a matter of fact I’m typing on my first computer, I had no prior experience in this industry, I have the tension span of a Golden Retriever, and I’m lousy at following directions. If I built this life in under 12 months, you can too.

Check Your Responsibilities tab and scroll down to see what I do for my team, I want you at the top with me so your time is NOW don’t be left out!

    Jerry
I am sitting here with your mom and dad and want to know more so how do I click on a “Find out More” button? This is a pretty busy website but I think it needs to be a little less busy and drill down to an easier to navigate view.
Talk to your dad about this.

It is confusing as to how to get involved or apply.

Just some thoughts. Not being critical but trying rather to be constructive.

    Good luck
    Uncle Joe
