One of my teammate’s called me up frustrated a couple of weeks ago and we quickly solved his problem and I’d like to share how. There is something in your pocket you aren’t using to it’s full potential, no I’m not talking the contraceptive you leave your apartment with every hopeful Saturday night. What I’m talking about is not going to generate any leads but it will definitely help you convert more sales basically free and that’s what really counts. I’ll tell you what it is in just a second, but first let’s go over this common frustration amongst Network Marketers.
OK we all have professional conference calls that effectively present our business opportunities in a manor better than most of us ever will. These calls are held by million-dollar top producing marketers and are extremely powerful. In addition to answering questions and closing your sales they allow us to leverage the amount of prospects we can talk to. Think about it, would you rather speak to 15 people a night and regurgitate the same thing over and over 14 extra times? No, I didn’t think so, you have better things to be doing right. Your focus should be getting them on the call, that way when you do speak with them they are qualified for your time, after all both of your time is best spent after your prospect has had a chance to absorb what is really in front of them by attending a call and reviewing your well laid out information. This was particularly important to my teammate because he was very new and he did not have all the answers so he shouldn’t be telling and selling to a cold a uniformed prospect anyway. Now if I seam to be speaking another language to you right now and your company doesn’t offer professional conference calls, then grab Wilma, Pebbles and Dino and get on the first Brontosaurus Rex out of Bedrock, when you get to a pay phone call me collect, I’ll hook you up soldier. Our job as Master Marketers is simple; we generate the lead, sort them and get the qualified ones to these calls on time and let the Pros deliver the information for us.
Now as you know to solve any problem first you have to define it, well we have already established that we need to get them there so let’s explore why they aren’t they making it in the first place? Maybe they forgot, maybe they misplaced the number and aren’t by a computer, or they just weren’t sure if they had time and didn’t schedule it into their day. So one of the fundamentals of marketing is you want to present the path of least resistance. For example: Sally Cream cheese places the same ad, same demographic, and gets the same views as Joe Dirt but she offers a clickable link to her site, Mr. Dirt does not and his prospects have to take an extra step and type his long ass unmemorable link into the address bar. You get the picture; poor Joe would have to place twice as many ads to get the same amount of leads.
So what can you do to eliminate all possible excuses except “get out of my face I’m afraid of being scammed”, the solution is actually quite simple and almost everyone has one on them at all times, it’s one of the best communication breakthroughs of the 21st century. You know what it is by now don’t you? It’s your cell phone. You may not be able to individually call each one of your prospects and remind them about the call, but you can text them. The name of the game is leverage and you have to know how to use it. If you have a 5 pm call that closes sales for you, then you need to be sending a mass text to every quailed prospects cell phone. Try to limit it to no more than 3 messages 1 per week and after 3 weeks without response it is probably time to stop wasting your time.
Most cell phones today have the ability to send mass texts and create lists, but if your phone does not you can just Google “mass texting” services or “SMS messaging” they’ll be plenty of tools there. Personally I use my i-phone but for larger orders I use my wireless laptop card, mine as with most has a texting option with and easy and familiar outlook style layout. The text should be simple, “Hi, quick reminder tonight’s overview call is at 5pm dial blah blah blah PIN: blah.”
As soon as we implemented this team wide believe it or not we had immediate results I mean next day! Get on this ASAP; send an email to your entire team right now it can’t hurt one bit. Team Leaders here’s another helpful hint, text your team ½ hour before the call reminding them to text their hot prospects in 15 minutes! It’s all about leverage we have the tool we just need to recognize them for how much power they really have…. But don’t take my word for it, take my 30-day challenge and focus on this for a month, then write me back with your results!
Luck is when chance meets with preparation.
